VidLab (free) is a feature packed video editor for the iPhone that allows users to easily create stunning videos by adding text, music, video & sound effects, overlays, voice-overs & more.
VidLab was developed by Roberto Nickson (@rpnickson), the creator of the immensely popular photo editing app PicLab. Nickson began drafting initial concepts of VidLab in September of 2013. Soon after that, he published a VidLab Behance project. VidLab was then released the app to the App Store on February 16.
VidLab includes features that allow the user to add animating text over videos, add stunning video effects & filters, add overlays & masks, add music & sound fx, record audio, and immediately ‘insta-size’ videos.
Unfortunately, in-app purchases are needed to receive additional video effects ($1.99) or overlays ($0.99) or sound effects ($0.99), unlock fonts ($0.99), and remove the VidLab watermark ($0.99). Or of course, you could unlock all of these features for $2.99. While VidLab is still enjoyable as downloaded, the full VidLab experience is not achieved.
